In this kind of peer circle, group size really matters. There’s a lot of research around what’s called voice equity—basically, how often people get to speak and feel heard. What it shows, again and again, is that once groups get much larger than ten, people start to hold back. In smaller groups, everyone has a voice, and that’s where trust, connection, and real growth happen.
For this work—not a course, but a shared, living circle—the sweet spot is about 8–12 people. I close the cohort at ten because I want it to feel intimate, spacious, and alive. A place where you’re truly seen, where your voice matters, and where the group itself becomes part of the learning.
The current cohort has filled. If you want to be a part of the next circle, please let me know below. I’ll reach out when we are ready to re-open registrations. I review applications personally and will reach out as future cohorts take shape. Thank you for your interest—and for listening to what’s next. —Megan McDonough
